Top 8 visiting places of Tanawal Valley

Allah Almighty has gifted many beautiful places to Pakistan. Especially the northern areas are beyond expectations.

Tanawal valley in the northern areas is blessed with high mountains rivers and streams. It is a heaven on the earth.

Tanawal Hazara is approximately 162km away from the capital territory of Islamabad on the map.

The valley of jungles and mountains is unfortunately underdeveloped. So there is no tourism in the area. But it has a lot of beautiful Places. Tanawal is part of  Mansehra which is the most beautiful district of Pakistan.

Top visiting places of Tanawal valley are:

Siri Koh e Benghra:

Siri is the highest point of Tanawal valley. In winter Siri covers itself with the blanket of snow. Snowfall remains for a month or more. Siri seems like a white mountain from far-off areas. While in summers it becomes lush green.

Monkeys and other wildlife were founded there in recent times. It is the place where the sky meets the earth, where you can walk on the clouds.

Pakistan’s national tree deodar also known as Himalayan cedar can be seen there in bulk amounts. So it is highly recommended to visit Siri if you are planning for Tanawal.

Darband:

Darband is located at the bank of the river Indus. It is a small town with many hotels. People go there for hoteling especially. Fresh fishes of river Indus are available at almost every hotel.

The hotels are made in a way that boats sailing on the river can be seen clearly. The scenario of the river seems imaginary from balconies of hotels and houses there.

The facility of boating is also available at affordable prices. It usually costs 1200 rupees for twenty people.

Darband is the second most beautiful area of Tanawal. A city with wide roads, luxury hotels, and small beautiful mountains on the bank of a river is just a perfect view for visitors. Must visit Darband if you love to see such beautiful places.

Darband has an important role in Tanawal history. It was used as the capital of Amb state in Nawab's rule.

River Siran:

Mansehra city to Lassan Nawab road is a blending of beautiful sights. Gojra bridge, Hazara motorway, Pangorhi bridge, and the most beautiful Siran river come in the way.

Siran river is located deep down the Sharu Gali mosque made at the side of Mansehra to Lassan Nawab road. Although the river is very deep it can be seen from the high road.

The U-shaped river with the water of roaring sound seems dreadful from the road. But it provides energy to the people of adventurous minds.

Locals go there for fishing. And outsiders visit to see the beauty of nature.

Lassan Nawab:

Lassan Nawab is the center of Tanawal. It is surrounded by mountains from all sides.

The area is commercially very important. It has a big market. People from Mansehra, Abbottabad, and Haripur go there to buy and sell their products.

It is also important naturally. It has too many beautiful places to visit. It has lakes, streams, and waterfalls. The area also has many popular cricket grounds and a hospital.

Most of the area is flat as it is located in the center of the mountains. So people of Lassan Nawab live a healthy and comfortable life.

The main problem of the area is they have no gas facility. People use woods instead of gas for cooking foods and for other burning purposes. Visiting Lassan Nawab may be priceless for you if you are planning to visit Tanawal.

Dhanaka Sharif:

Dhanaka Sharif is the heart of Tanawal. It is about 14 kilometers from Lassan Nawab. People with different lifestyles are connected with the place.

Politicians, historians architects, and people with religious beliefs are connected. Even former prime minister of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto and Nawaz Sharif along with Shehbaz Sharif visited the tomb of late Sufi “Dewaana baba”.

His tomb and a mosque attached to it are masterpieces of architecture. The tomb is on the top of a cliff.

A small Bazar is just beneath the tomb. Long stairs are used to access the tomb from the Bazar.

The tomb is at the height of a mountain. So nearby areas look wonderful from inside the tomb. And provides visitors a sight of relaxation. Easy and comfortable journey makes this place worthy for visitors.

Machi tarap waterfall:

Machi tarap waterfall comes in the way from Lassan Nawab to Darband.  The waterfall puts an effect of peace and relaxation on the eyes.

The sound of water silent every other sound. People forget their pain and work pressure there. The waterfall attracts the people in a way that nobody wants to go home from there. Water from the top of a green mountain cuts the rocks and makes its own way. It rushes down the stream and seems unstoppable.

The surrounding areas also put a beautiful and long-lasting impact on the eyes and hearts of visitors. The green valley with a beautiful waterfall is enough for a local picnic.

It is difficult to access there because there is no road and the waterfall is at the height of the mountain. Local tourists go there to see the blessing of Allah almighty in the area of Tanawal.

Gojra bridge:

Gojra bridge is built on the canal Gojra. The bridge is on height but the roaring sound of water can be heard.

The canal can be seen on both sides of the bridge and provides a magnificent view. The water flows alongside the road and mountain. And bridge joins two mountains under which the Gojra canal flows. Sometimes it seems dreadful to drive on the road but overall journey fascinates the people.

It is almost half an hour away from Mansehra city. Many visitors from Mansehra visit the bridge for the photoshoot and to spend their leisure time.

Shergarh

The history of Tanawal lies in Sher Garh. Almost two hundred years ago Sher Garh was the summer capital of Nawab of Amb state.

It is a place rich in history and architecture. Nawab’s capital was Darband but in summers they use to migrate to Sher Garh every year.

There is a fort known as the Sher Garh fort. It was the summer palace of Nawabs at that time.

This fort was made by Sikhs and latterly captured by Nawabs in the famous battle between Sikhs and Muslims fought in Kashmir by Syed Ahmed Shaheed (r.a). Two canons are placed at the main door of Sher Garh fort, which reminds us of the bright era of Tanawal and the state of Amb.
